The current state of Pasolini studies, ranging across literature, cinema and the visual arts. The papers delivered at the conference held at the Collegio Ghislieri in Pavia in March 2018 deal with various aspects of the multifaceted work of the writer and director: from the “revelation of the flesh” and the languages of eros in his cinema (R. Chiesi, C. Boatti, T. Subini) to Dionysian symbology (B. Roberti); from the presence of the classics (A. Beltrametti) and of Freudian thinking and lexis (S. De Laude) to citations of pictorial Mannerism (M.A. Bazzocchi); and from stylistic features (R. Donnarumma, S. Agosti, M.A. Grignani) to the relationship between the author’s output and the historical and political reality he described (A. Tricomi).
